NHS Innovations North is delivering innovation in healthcare through The Innovation Pathway, a project managed and delivered by RTC North with support from the European Research and Development Fund (ERDF) and the Academic Health Science Network North East and North Cumbria.
NHS Innovations North was created in 2001 and is hosted by RTC North Ltd. Since our inception to date we have assessed over 5,000 ideas and successfully commercialised 90 technologies and services.
NHS Innovations North delivers a range of services to help get innovative products and services into the healthcare market. Our support starts at the very beginning where innovators from the NHS or industry can access professional services to help turn great ideas into reality. We can help you protect your bright idea, giving advice and practical support around intellectual property (IP), and where ideas are further developed, we can provide competitor analysis and market research. Where required, we can help you to find manufacturers to help develop NHS and private collaborations.
NHS Innovations North organise the Bright Ideas in Health Awards, an annual competition organised on behalf of the Academic Health Science Network for the North East and North Cumbria.
