The following is a list of sources of assistance for businesses including grants, loans, partnering, advice and other assistance.

The list is not exhaustive but aims to provide an overview of the funding landscape in the North East, nationally and beyond:

UK Life Sciences maintains a list of funding opportunities for science, engineering and manufacturing activities available to the health life sciences industry including bio-pharmaceuticals; medical biotechnology; or medical technologies (devices and diagnostics). provides detailed and up-to-date news and information about new sources of funding for all those involved in raising money for not for profit organisations throughout the UK (subscription required). brings together all the regional, local and national government funding schemes in one place. Grants Online is a comprehensive and up to date UK funding information service which is updated on a daily basis. Grants Online informs you of grant funding opportunities from the European Union, UK Government agencies, the lottery as well as grant making trusts & foundations.
