The services we offer to NHS employees and organisations can support you at key stages in the pathway of your bright idea. 

NHS Innovations North delivers innovation on behalf on the Academic Health Science Network for the North East and North Cumbria, within NHS Trusts and Clinical Commissioning Groups, engaging with the AHSN Innovation Scout Scheme and providing a key role in The Innovation Pathway.

Our services are tailored to individual needs.

Step One: Register your ‘Bright Idea in Healthcare’
Complete the registration form.
Step Two: Initial discussions
We will contact you to discuss your innovation.

Step Three: Assessment
An assessment of the idea, potentially including prior art searching, patent searching, literature reviews, intellectual property assessments and peer reviews as appropriate.

Step Four: Feedback
Innovators and their employing organisation will receive feedback on their bright idea with recommendations for the next stage.
